Mosin Nagant - Model 1891/30

Finnish-built Mosin Nagant M91/30 Model’s are known as the M/30

Over 100,000 Mosin Nagants were captured and used by Finnish troops during World War 2.

A Few thousand M/91-30 rifles were built with Finnish barrels in 1943 - 1944. Those Finnish-built rifles were commonly referred also referred as M/30.

This being one of those rifles, rebuilt using a 1912 dated Tula action in 1944 by Tikka (Tikkakoski) as per the barrel markings. The action is marked with the Tula Hammer symbol and 3 digit date 912 for 1912, 3 digit dates are post 1900.

The Imperial Russian Eagle mark is still partially visible on the receiver

Stock looks to be birch & of the two piece Finnish design with the finger splice construction, becasue the stock is slightly bigger where the spice is they also have the nick name of “Pot Belly” stocks
